1. Not unless you can talk Satan into letting Cliff Burton out of Hell. |
|
...Other than that, it's never gonna happen.

2. they can attempt the sound again, re-invent it, its a different metal than |
|
they are now, and they can re-visit it, re-define it, if only they would.
I'm not sure I care for another St. Anger or some symphony or a soundtrack.
Shove some metal up my ass, eh?
I want "we'll never quit, we'll never stop, 'cuz we're Metallica!"
"Horsemen are drawing nearer,"
"seek and destroy"
metallica can do it again,
and they should
imho

what an arrogant reply, floogeldy - wtf?
I'm hearing some killer music and trying to discuss it on a discussion board,of which I"ve been a member for three years. Why do you want to criticize my opinions?
please share with us your resume as hall monitor

I didn't criticize your opinion. I asked you a question.
Is arrogance against board rules?
And you are . . . who?
;)

7. Considering Cliff Burton AND Dave Mustaine were contributors.... |
|
It probably won't happen. Besides (and this is coming from a lifelong fan) they've become self-important, analytical whiners. Their music went from freeform, head banging fury to calculated, rehearsed garbage. Blame Bob Rock. He took a talented bunch of misfit headbangers and turned them into a talented bunch of 40 something snoozers.
That and James Hetfield stopped drinking.

I've never liked that one. I LOVED Ride the Lightening, Master of Puppets and And Justice for All. I even liked the Black album. But I never liked their first one. :hide:

My GRAMMA. I guess the electric chair on the album cover didn't deter her. Grams is great.

13. Metallica is the Terry Schiavo of music - pull the plug |
|
they've just lost it. decadence, age, the loss of Burton etc. has left them bereft of of the inspiration they once had. Love the first four albums, but they've been an embarrassment for years. http://www.newsmutiny.com/pages/Entertainment/Metallica.html

14. It would be an affectation |
|
That's not what they are anymore and they aren't going to get credibility back by pretending to be what they were.
It would be like watching your 91 year old grandma put on a bikini and go waterskiing. Sure she was great on the water back in the day, but she just can't get it done anymore.

|
Then turn on the recording equipment and them to "Hit it". :headbang:
