Which is early for me :bounce: but only because I managed to drag my lazy arse in here for quarter past 8 ( :scared: ).

The first week after a break is always hideously nasty - just think that it's half way over already.

I used to live in Auerbach, Germany, many years ago with my dad. Sure miss the interesting smells driving around there. lol

I normally prefer the city, but that brief time there was great. Looking out the window and seeing a bunch of local teens playing soccer in the vast field, *sigh* those were the good days :)

boys playing soccer on the fields. after all, soccer is number one sport here in Germany.

I am a city person myself. I feel really good here. Frankfurt is an international city but not too big. I like that.

10. Good morning Clint.
:pals:

I'm doing quite well - lots of work in here, lots of sun out of the window.

Ask me at quarter past four (when I leave work today), and the answer will involved a few of these :bounce: - for the moment it's more :), but seeing you raises that to :D

How's my favourite Floridan today?

16. Glad to hear it - but 5:20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow here - I'm guessing that it's just one of the periodic problems that jump up now and then.

I barely know what the world is like at 5:20 - in fact the vast majority of times that I've seen it, has been from the evening before.

20. I've only watched the sun rise once
It wasn't particularly peaceful either - there was a university tradition that on May Day people would go swimming in the sea at sunrise. I certainly wasn't stupid enough to go in the water at that time of morning, or at that time of day, or at that time of year, or at that line of latitude - but I did go to watch once (followed by a very boozy breakfast, naturally).

I don't mean to be beatly to you, but I've never been able to get up early even getting to work by 9 a.m. is a battle half of the time. On the otherhand, I can keep going till 2 a.m. without a care in the world.

My best bet would be to travel west, and keep my body on U.K. time. So I'll have to travel to Florida and we can watch the sun rise together. :pals:

It was on my list of "places to go one day", but now I may never get to see it :-( . It's sad to have it destroyed and so many people's lives ruined like that.

BTW, is it me or is the atmosphere in here getting really charged with animosity? It seems that there are so many more arguments and snarks going around than before.

sad and depressed-for the folks in the Gulf Coast, depressed for my own lot. Today, it's a choice between medicine and gasoline, and the gasoline won-or else I don't have a job so I can get the medicine. It's not that bad-I'll only have some pain-but I shudder to think of others who face this same choice and whose medicine is keeping them alive.

33. Grocery shopping is the thing I hate most in the world.
Kids here have Wednesday afternoon free from school, so the Coop always is full of screaming kids on Wednesday afternoons. But even if the store were empty, I still wouldn't enjoy the experience. I don't have the "shop-til-I-drop" stamina that I had when I lived in the states. (And I swear, shopping is about the only life experience that I positively _loathe_.)

But it only lasts an hour. That's the "up" side of it.

I'm glad you're well. Welcome back from vacation; can't wait to see your photos!

I get my pictures back tomorrow and will spend the evening to scan some in. I can't wait myself. Looking at the pictures is like living through the vacation again.

and the cable provider finally got around to fixing the problem, so I just haven't been able to go on-line.

On a happier note, I will be taking sixteen of my students on a trip from München to Wien during the first week of June. I have to start the planning now in order to bring it all together prior to departure time. I am now very popular around here because there is a place for a second chaperon, who receives a free trip.

It's good to hear from you again as well. :pals: Ich habe vor drei Wochen ein langes Gespräch am Telefon mit dem Wetzelbill gehabt. Der ist ein sehr interesanter Mensch!

63. I don't know as yet,
however it must be an adult female as over half those participating are teenage girls.

Where did you go on vacation? With all that cool and wet weather in Germany this summer, I hope it was someplace warm.

and very bicycle friendly. Wieviele FKKs gibt es auf dieser Insel?

74. My brain is sort of awake.
Awake enough to let me get ready and show up at the office. Not so ready to do work though. My boss asked me a question right when I got here, too. Good thing it was an easy one. :D

75. now that is mean
to have to answer a question when only the body arrived at work :)
That is why I am always showing up an hour earlier than my boss. That way I have the chance to somewhat wake up before the work really starts

7am-4pm

My old boss used to show up at 9:30. That was nice. :)

80. I normally show up at 8am
most people here start at 9am. But me starting at 8am gives me the opportunity to leave around 4pm instead of 5pm to have my hours in.

I'll nap until noon and then drive from Austin to bring a generator to my folks. They're meeting me in Houston and taking it back with them to Louisiana. G'nite!
