Boingboing points to 2 wire service photos of people in Katrina's aftermath who have bags of groceries. The black youth is returning from "looting a grocery store " while the white couple are coming from "finding bread and soda from a local grocery store."

If the bread and soda had been lying in the middle of a neighborhood sidewalk it could be passed off as "found". One does not "find", then walk off with, foodstuffs in a grocery store.

6. FOX has gone long and heavy on the "looting" angle today.

I remember being told that the looting that went on in Iraq after Bush invaded that country was all about "folks letting off steam".

Nowhere did I hear the idea that people "have to eat" in today's reporting.

I have to admit that as I watched all the footage of black citizens exiting devastated grocery stores, I thought perhaps white folks don't really need to eat after all, and maybe I could save some money by cutting down on the groceries.

Why has no one told me that food is not an absolute necessity for a Polish-American such as myself?

I blame it on the food cartels, suppressing the science in order to fill their coffers.

In reality, FOX knows that their most loyal audience is comprised of blazingly active racists and it was a day-long display that appeared to be designed to reassure that brand of blind hate.
