speech, January 17, 1961 just before he left office, in which he warned of the military-industrial complex. Wow, what a great thing, hearing that speech!!

Maybe the Randi Rhodes archive page will include it (it edits out commercials, etc) or maybe it will be on Sat. AM on the Best of RR on WJNO.

Why don't the Dems start quoting Eisenhower?????

1. It's a great speech
but the reason (or the big reason) Democrats don't quote Ike is because he was a Republican. He was actually courted by both parties to run and chose the Republican Party.

2. Heh. I love throwing this kind of stuff in their faces.
The military industrial complex warning is quite prophetic.
I love throwing quotes from reagan, bush 41, and wingnut news sources like worldnetdaily at them.
