Okay maybe the high prices can't be blamed 100% on Bush. No seriously there are other factors involved, our in consumption, industry in foreign nations ect, BUT this is the major difference between Bush and all the previous modern presidents:

A President Clinton, Kerry, or Gore would've been sweating bullets right now if any of them were presiding over this price gouging business that is going down and would be rushing to put an end to it.

BUSH DOES NOTHING BUT ACT LIKE IT'S NOT EVEN HAPPENING.

THAT is the major difference that you can point out to freepers you know.

If you wanna get technical we can talk about how oil is an inelastic good ect how the two oilmen presiding over the new American empire are getting rich off this but that's another chapter.

3. The first thing * did when he got in office was trash the mpg requirements
that were being phased in. Cheney then said conservation doesn't work. Then there was spend spend spend. Their only plan for energy self-sufficiency was to invade Iraq. So the repubs get a good part of the blame. Our entire government for the last 50 years gets the rest of the blame. We don't like conservation because it cuts into oil company profits. We've been had. And this is just the start.

6. Oh believe I plant a HUGE blame on the Bush admin
I just wanted to be the first to come up with a one sentence shot we can all remember during our next feeper encounter which cannot be denied no matter what facts you think you have;

Bush seems to be loving what's happening to our gas prices he certainly is taking no steps to stop it...ANY other president would be having a nervous break down over this.

5. the price gougers bought their way into DC
The GOP gets more money from big oil than anyone else. If they try to stop big oil, they will get hurt when election time comes around in terms of campaign finance
