I found a hotel somewhere there to stay in. Is it a good area?

has a lot of crime. It's like a gross suburb of Pompano.

Broward is okay, but can be expensive, depending on where you live.

Boca - expensive, very. And, all these areas can have high-crime.

and I just want to say how sorry I am and how much I care. You have had some really awful experiences.

I think you need to leave Florida. I like the state but you have had horrible experiences there and you need a fresh start. :hug:

17. I'm in Chicago now, but I lived on both the west and east coast of FL

My folks are still north of Tampa. If you're in Broward or even South Palm try and do lunch at the Sea Watch in Ft. Lauderdale; it was my favorite. Deerfield is iffy and Boca is very pricey; Delray Beach has some tough areas, but I liked the beach there. Good luck.

16. Boca is Much too Expensive.! If you have good Bod go to DelRey

and find the guy who rents the beach chairs and tell him that someone in SC who was there this Spring from Kiawah recommended you and you might get a job. But, don't let me down on this...! I don't want this person to be trashed because you wouldn't do the job.

If that doesn't appeal...there are many restaurants...and other things you can do.

Del Rey would be more "liberal to you" than maybe your other choices. But, there are still lots of cockroaches and stuff, but more "upscale" than what you are saying you've lived with in Miami.

Check it out. If that doesn't work then head up to "Winter Park." Rollins College, might be able to use you with your Ph.D. Sorry MA....I have trouble keeping up with you Carlos.....so much all the time.....

18. delray is decent

i lived there for almost a year when i was going to FL Atlantic. it's just on the edge of boca, so it's fairly decent as far as policing goes.

That's where me and the missus live. It's very lovely, clean, not overcrowded, and still has all of the benefits of south florida. Come on up, you'll love it!!
