To me, sex is ...errr well, it's been mostly an act. I've never had a g/f who said they loved me.

BUT

I've had cuddling relationships with people who have said they've loved me...and they showed it. I sometimes wonder about sex vs love. shrug.

I'd rather have a 3 hour heavy petting session than one hour of hot sex. There's just a different emotional connection going on.

Frankly, I enjoy a good french kiss more than sex.
