Do you have children in public schools?

I'm noticing a new trend in the language used to address parents and students at public schools. Are your school's administrators referring to you as "customers"? My friend works for the schools and she has been running into this a lot lately. We have speculated that they are just priming people for the inevitability of the privatization of the school systems buy the conservatives. Have you witnessed this?
