I played from 5th-10th grade and loved it. The only reason I quit was because I wanted to take journalism, and it was the same hour as orchestra. I never got back to it, but have missed it and wanted to pick it up again. I just bought a solid wood cello on eBay for $200. I'm not looking for a Stradivarius or anything; just something I can play and enjoy.
I'M SO EXCITED!!! A shout-out to Mayberry Machiavelli, who inspired me with his musical instrument thread the other day!

My favorite cello piece: Bach's cello suite #1-prelude.
Learn to play that and you will be my god.
