2. Based on this all-too-familiar image of flood victims:

6. Thanks, BiggJawn!
I appreciate it.

Sad, isn't it? Some things never change.

8. Best photograph ever.
If it wasn't for WW II, would the US ever get out of its economic depression?

9. Spurious George is REALLY the anti-Roosevelt
Not only does he want to undo the New Deal, but whereas FDR had 1) the Great Depression that was ended by 2) a war that led to 3) increased prosperity, GWB reversed the process and entered into 1) a war that will be followed by 2) another Great Depression that will lead to... OK, there the paradigm falls apart. It won't lead to increased prosperity after all. Never mind....

10. No, the paradigm is valid.
Because when you DEvolve, you have war, thenthe Great Depression, then the total destruction of the Labour Movement, then the resurection of the Edwardian "Ruling Class" and "Industrialists", then the culture of feudal-style Serfdom to our Corporate Masters, and then Poor Dirt Farmers.

Who knows? by then, maybe England will try to colonise us...
