*sniff* Mine pets are homesick for their mama *sniff* SEE PICS
Well, first of all, I must say, I really don’t feel guilty about leaving the home front in Iowa to enjoy the sights and scenes of San Diego and Los Angeles. OMFG, I don’t think I’ve slept so soundly, and every single night, for a year.

Just got a call this morning from mom in Iowa – she is staying at my place with my faithful pooch and kitties while I am out in San Diego visiting my dad. This is the first time in the last 11 years since I have had these pets that I have left them for any length of time. *sniff* They are all between 10 and 11 years old. I’ve left the 2 cats for a couple days before with someone coming in to feed them but always taken my Boober with me for couple day trips.

Boobie has been listless and depressed, just lying around mourning; he misses his mama. *sniff* :( he wouldn’t even chase the squeaky for several days after I left. :( Not coming alive for the squeaky is pretty serious. :(

And, Mufasa is my problem kitty. *sigh* Oh, heavens, he came from an abandoned litter 10 years ago and he thinks I’m REALLY his REAL mama. Insecure as hell, anyway – he is walking through the house wailing and scolding. He misses his mama. :(

So, they are apparently getting a little better about this. That’s good because I’m not changing my vacation and won’t be home for another week. It’s been 5 days and Boober is starting to play with the squeaky when enticed. :)

So, I’ll jus’ show off my babies instead. :-) Can’t do anything about it right now.

Here’s my Boobie;

This is Mufasa – He’s a wimp. He is walking through the house wailing and scolding.

This is Socks – She doesn’t care who the fuck is there – she owns the place

just tell your mom to have a one on one talk with each animal.....explaining that you will be back.

I swear.....animals undestand. It's a psychic thing.

goin' to look at the pics now.....oooooooo, REALLY CUTE. I like BOOBIE!! (how do you keep his coat so shiny?)

7. Boobie is really my baby. I miss him the most.
:)

Easy why his coat is so shiny - it's also soft as velvet. It's the food he eats. The Science Diet. Nothing but good nutrition and hugs. That's ALL it is. Same with my cats.

When I got that beast he was ROTTEN. His coat was like a brillo pad and he smelled like a goat and he was asshole butt ugly. His skin was scales. Had to clean him up and shave that coat off so some real hair could grow.

I love that dawg... He worships the ground I walk on too. Always has ...., and so have I.... I got him for my son and they were inseparable when my son was home, and now .... well ... I'm not sure which one of us is the security blanket for who

4. Awww....

Your dog looks a LOT like my childhood dog - I got her for my birthday (or christmas?) when I was 12.

Her name was Cuddles - and no, we didn't name her that! *L* SHe came with the name - she was 8mos old when we got her. GREAT dog! If I didn't have to go to work I'd locate a pic and scan it to show you - they really look a lot alike! Yours looks like Cuddles did after a hair cut.

They are all so cute! And they will be so happy to have you home, they'll forget about how sad they were.

By the way, how did you post the images within your message?

9. Posting the pics
By the way, how did you post the images within your message?

The pics are on a web site. Most email carriers have the capability of a web page for you. So you upload the pics there and then just post the http// address of the pic and voila!! instant pics!!

13. Do you have the box checked in your reply at the bottom to not use
emoticons? Try that again and make sure you don't have that box checked. Your link does have a picture and should work.

16. When I read your message yesterday the emoticon wasn't showing
Why don't you run this issue by the bugs forum. I'd be curious too to see why your picture doesn't show up here because from what I see it should work.

12. I had to be away from my dog and cat for about 3 weeks a few yrs ago.
They pined. You could literally see the grief in the dog's eyes and the cat was not eating or drinking much and was in bad shape. The cat perked up pretty well after a few days. The dog did not recognize me until I laid on the floor and let her sniff me. Then she wouldn't let me out of her sight. I had a 90 lb shadow thereafter.

17. I rarely travel because I miss my cats too much when I do
I suppose they miss me, too, but I can barely function without them. Just a yearly visit to my daughter (my mom and sisters also live in the same area) and that's it.

18. I have had to watch my mother's cat
when she leaves. It is pathetic. She sits by the front door waiting for a day or so. Then it turns to bouts of walking around and crying. Finally she latches on to anything human.
Sad. She does not know what to do when my mother is gone.
