I missed the Jessica Lynch interview last night - did anyone watch it? |
and do you have comments or details? I see nothing in the news so I'm assuming she trashed the BFEE.

1. Just saw about ten minutes |
What struck me was that she seems very honest about her experience. Remarkably enough, it was the network promo and lead ins that were really irritating (jingoistic BS).

2. Yeah, the spin was getting to me |
Despite the things she was saying, the narrative was being heavily spun in that good old wingnut way. What struck me the most about her, though, was just how young she seemed. Innocently idealistic about telling the truth and setting the record straight. Good for her, but I kept wondering if she realized that when she took on the BFEE, she got a tiger by the tail. Hope she's ready for the shitstorm from the mouthbreathers.

4. With Sawyer she said the Iraqi hospital was kind and saved her life but |
this morning on "Today" with Katie Couric there was a much different tone to her story....With Sawyer she said they treated her with kindness and praised the nurse who sang lullabies to her...With Couric her tone was different...The nicest thing she said was that she guessed "they did more good than harm to her....She sounded much less enthusiastic about them than when she talked with Sawyer...IMO
