Am I the only one who thinks the "official" death toll is going to be on the ...uh... optimistic side (for lack of a better term)? Call me a nutter but I wonder if that number is going to get monkeyed with to be a little less horrifying than the reality. I wouldn't put it past BushCo, they're certainly not above fixing information to make themselves look better or to get the results they want. I'm just sayin'...

they aren't getting to the bodies before the gators...of course they'll be able to put the number at whatever they want it to be.

As for those who stubbornly remain 'missing', well they were probably just slackers or people wanted by the cops who saw an opportunity to get themselves a new identity. :sarcasm: Even the 3 and 4 years olds and especially those in their 70's and 80's.

They get a new guy and all of the sudden not so many people died? Not only that, Reporters w/o Borders have stated that journalists are being intimidated and threatened. And asked or told not to take pics of bodies.

Remember some part of this administration does do body counts on Iraqis (civilians dead by our hands, anyway) and the dead of NOLA didn't deserve first class treatment according to the actions of this admin...
