I've got "2000 Man" by the stones cranked |
|
"Don't you know? I"m a 200 man." I love the ending the best, used well in bottlerocket.
What stones tunes do you dig?

right this minute, so right now "She said Yeah" is pretty high on my list.
Other dug tunes include: Paint it Black, everything on Out of Our Heads, Prodigal Son, Stray Cat Blues, Gimme Shelter, Let's Spend the Night Together, and everything on Exile on Mainstreet.
edit: OH and Beast of Burden. Duh, me.

5. Heard the new album yet? |
|
If you are any sort of Rolling Stones fan at all, you gotta check it out.
A good chunk of the album is just Mick, Keith, & Charlie, and nothing against Woody, but there's something about them going back to their roots that just makes this record work. And Mick turns in some surprisingly great slide guitar performances.

2. I like more Stones songs than most bands have songs |
|
period. My favorite is 'Rip This Joint' from Exile.

2000 MAN (Jagger/Richards)
Well, my name is a number A piece of plastic film And I'm growin' funny flowers In my little window sill
Dont you know I'm a 2000 man And my kids, they just don't understand me at all
Well my wife still respects me I really misused her I am having an affair With the random computer
Don't you know I'm a 2000 man And my kids, they just don't understand me at all
Oh daddy, proud of your planet Oh mummy, proud of your sun Oh daddy, proud of your planet Oh mummy. proud of your sun
Oh daddy, your brain's still flashin' Like it did when you were young Or do you come down crashin' Seeing all the things you'd done All was a big put on
Oh daddy, proud of your planet Oh mummy. proud of your son Oh daddy, proud of your planet Oh mummy. proud of your sun
Oh daddy, proud of your planet Oh mummy. proud of your sun Oh daddy, proud of your planet Oh mummy. proud of your sun
And you know who's the 2000 man And your kids they just won't understand you at all
Let's see.... our names aren't numbers in common conversation yet (THX 1138) but most databases know you by one number or another.
Most people who grow "funny flowers" these days use a hydroponic light system a little more sophisticated than the kitchen window sill.
And while I haven't had an affair WITH a computer yet, I've had a couple that started out with the help of one.
However, I most definitely am NOT proud of my planet right now :(
So I give Mick & Keith a B - for their predictions.
