1. That is the ultimate compliment a photoshopper can receive
Which DUer made it, or was it just found and claimed as ours?

2. Snopes did not say the pics came from DU just that they came from the net.

I do believe that Duers made the photshopped pictures. Does anyone out there in DU land claim these as their own? I saw them posted here just last week.

It is a great honor to be listed on Snopes!

5. AHAHAHAHAHAHA
"I got this in an email with the title "This says it all!" It's obviously fake. Look at Bush and his Dad wearing coats where the temperature is about 90 degrees."

I love the jacket/temp thing.

I think a DUer pshopped the guitar image-it was a thread with many pshops of the guitar fuckwit in several different situations. I could be wrong.

7. That's hysterical, and sad
The tone of the debunking is good, too. Like "I can't believe we have to explain this..." :eyes:

12. I know, they were obvious photoshops
Its not like it was a setup. The photoshops were to point out Bush's apathy.

If the author were trying to create a lie and spread the photos as though they were the real thing, they would have done things differently.

For example, they might have taken a photo of Bush saluting the flag, reversed the image, and pasted it back into a picture to make it look like he was saluting with his left hand over his heart instead of his right.

But no one would ever stoop to that low, would they?

(for those who don't know, some FReeper-type did that to Daschle a few years ago, to make it look like he didn't know how to salute the flag. And it was spread around as though it were a real picture for quite a while)

13. I laughed my ass off when I saw it
And poor old Barbara Mikkelson had to very judiciously explain the idea of political satire! And messing with photos on computers! LOL!
