If you criticize Blanco and Nagin then you hate Louisiana and New Orleans |

God chose them to lead, and any criticism of them is to sin against God. Any criticism of them gives aid and comfort to the enemies of New Orleans and Louisiana.
Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin should cancel the next elections, or at least rig the voting machines. We can't change leaders in a time of crisis.

1. I don't fully trust Nagin myself |

But I think what people are reacting to is a shift of blame from a federal to a local level. The trick the GOP is trying to pull is to get the focus on local mistakes, which, however grievous, don't absolve the federal authorities of their mistakes. But the Bush admin PR mantra is "out of sight, out of mind," so as long as there's a focus-shift it's a victory for them.
