HOLY COW, Hollywood couldn't have
scripted a better football game than ASU and LSU. In fact the more I look at that blocked punt the more I think they did. Hold on, I'll get my tin foil.

1. I was instantly reminded of the Pats suspicious Super Bowl run after 9/11
They kicked ass in the Super Bowl, but only got there b/c of the infamous "tuck rule" call against the Raiders. I'd always planned to write a short story/movie about a group of conspiracy-minded Raiders fans determined to prove that it was all engineered by the NFL and the Bush administration ...

Anyway, I digress, but I was thinking of it while catching updates of the LSU game :)

2. LOL
I was telling my wife a similar story. When I was younger it always seemed like the winner of the Ms Universe beauty pageant was always from some county that was in the media because of some tragedy. I'm tellin' ya, something is going on.

3. Cancer-man did put the kibosh on the Bills...
...but we never did hear who he wanted to win - perhaps the Patriots owe their success to a power higher than Hollywood.

5. A character from the X-Files

Played by William B. Davis. Also known as Cigarette Smoking Man. He was one of the mysterious evil government guys - in one episode he was talking about various events he had manipulated, and he ordered that Buffalo was not to win the SB in his lifetime...
