I pay a grand a semester for a desk and a bed that my boyfriend's dad says wouldn't pass for an inmate. We have 5 dorms on this campus...and they've all been remodelled except for ours, and the first dorm that was remodelled is due for more before we get one room redone. Again, I live in a hole...please feel sorry for me. LOL

1. I was there in 1986.

I lived in a WWII-era dorm with communal bathrooms and showers. People using the bathroom portion had to shout "CRAPPER!" before flushing so that the shower-takers would not be subjected to a blast of cold water. Well, they didn't HAVE to, but it was generally done, unless someone who pissed you off was showering. :evilgrin:

We won't get into the full garbage can full of water dumped down the 1st floor hallway, leaving that oh-so sexy mildew smell.

Oh, and the administration turned on the heat by calendar date, not temperature. :eyes:

2. Oh, I'll do you one better...

When people flush, we get SCALDED. And the admin here turns on the heat because of the old women who get cold when it is 70 degrees. I have a year left after this one. And unfortunately, I have no place else to go.
