Happy impressions at the DePaul U involvement fair.
Just got back to my dorm after the DePaul involvement fair, where, among other things, I signed up with the College Democrats. The Dems (with a few pencils, flyers, and tubs full of candy) table was right next to the College Repug booth (who had a fancy setup with a laptop, a slideshow, and a paper stating "Uncle Sam wants YOU to combat the Left), and the College Dem table saw a continuous influx of people. Never (and I mean NEVER) a break. The Republicans, by contrast, saw maybe four people, few and far between. And then their computer crashed. I laughed.

1. I didn't know you were at DePaul...
I'm a Chicago gal myself. I just had lunch over at the Chipotle on Lincoln and Orchard. :)
Enjoying your time at the school thus far?

3. I'm glad to hear it...
I lived by the DePaul Lincoln Park campus for a number of years... live in a different hood now, but get back over to the area every now and then.
As an FYI...

The Tower Records is great, and they rent DVDs. They have a great selection.

If you like Mexican food, I recommend Mamacita's on Clark. For Indian food, can't beat Hema's Kitchen. My friends say that Ranalli's makes a mean pizza (I'm vegan - can't vouch for that!).

North Community Bank is a great bank, if you don't already have one.

OK... I could go on and on. I'll stop. :)
But, if you want more suggestions, just let me know.

4. Hey, thanks a lot.
I really appreciate that. I need good places to waste my hard-earned money (once I get a job) ;)

Hema...that's my grandmother's name (I'm Indian)! Obviously, she's not running the place, but still...it's probably yum!
