Well if ANY good news can be salvaged...my letter was printed in the News.
In the 9th's Deseret News there was a letter that REALLY pissed me off. So I had to go write a reply to it, and well they printed it today.

Bush is great leader
I am sick of people ganging up on President Bush. He has done everything for everyone else — for his country, for people he doesn't even know — trying to make a better world. I find his ideas and actions effective. The second he was put into office, the worst attack on American soil devastated the world.
We support the man we elected as president.
We should also support our troops.
Re-elect a leader of the world to run our country.

Shelby Terrell
Lehi

This is my letter:

Bush is crippling U.S.
Shelby Terrell (Readers' Forum, Nov. 9) believes that people are unfairly ganging up on President Bush and that he is doing a wonderful job. Well, if you count coaxing a nation into war by the art of deceiving; orchestrating the massacre of over 7,000 Iraqis; squandering a record surplus into a record deficit; alienating the world because of a unilateral foreign policy and ignoring the problems here at home as doing a wonderful job, I guess it is safe to say Bush is a fine and effective leader.
I support our troops, because I want them home where they'll be safe.
I also fear that re-electing Bush will cripple our country even more.

6. "second he was put into office," (From the person you responded to)
What a load of crap - Bush had 8 and a half month after being sworn in. If he hadn't been obsessed with tax cuts and vacation perhaps he could have put 1 and 1 together and prevented the 9/11 attacks.

9. Sean! I am so proud of you. That is an
awesome letter and accurate retort to "shelby's" ineffective plea.

No Doubt " The second he was put into office, the worst attack on American soil devastated the world." And that is precisely why bush and company should never be allowed to have any more power in our Country. they are amateurs of the worst order. Everything they touch turns to shyte. Too bad the die hards can't see that.

And "shelby"..bush was never elected in the first place so maybe you should start paying more attention.

10. Sean that is a wonderful letter, I see a long esteemed LTE history
for you. The concision was wonderful, and it had the wit that editors like. Your letter would be a good model for others to follow who have a hard time getting their LTE published. Hope to see more by you.
