6. Yes
There are a lot of people whom I admire here and I would like to be thought of well by them and accepted as part of the group.

and being part of this group is great! I admire many here (admittedly, some more than others and some not at all).

forum about any subject....just put me on your list if you want to stop a post. Sans the 'when will this post die'

16. Recall the SNL skit...where everyone talked about their 'flamboyant' ways
and every body laughed and could not wait to tell their tales..til one guy spouted his experience...and the room went silent...well LOOKY LOOKY...that is I!...and I don't CARE!!

13. I tend to have that problem too
I've seen it several times just recently, in fact (thread killing).

As for my reputation, if I have one, it's probably for being dull.

8. I tread a thin line
so I need to know when I'm in danger of being kicked off, other than that, I liked to skate near the edge.

I want people to like me (or at least think well of me). I know that's not always possible, but I can dream. :-)

12. I really thought Democrats ran their own show...and no one could influence
their own convictions...how can someone have a conviction when they run after the favors of other people? Gee I think pink poodles are good, but the person I profess to want to like does not like pink poodles...am I expected to now not like pink poodles. No I follow no one except my own convictions....if it can be proved, however that pink poodles are somehow 'evildoers' I could change my mind...but not to please anyone else!!

14. only to a certain extent
I'm not a spokesman for the candidates I support, and too often, people equate me with them. I speak for myself.

26. It has nothing to do with that...
If you care about yourself you will care about people taking what you say out of concept. In this case I make alot of jokes that could be seen as "sexsist" but I am kiddin'. If people think I am serious, I want to rectify that. It goes with all things, as a sarcastic person I want to be seen in the light I truly reflect, so I want my reputation to reflect that.

24. Yes, you do have one
And no. You shouldn't care. DU is fun; but, at the end of the day, you probably won't meet 98 percent of these people.

Anyone over the age of 25 that cares about their "reputation" among strangers needs a session on the therapist's couch.

25. It's impossible to be all things to all people
So I don't even try. I don't go out of my way to piss anyone off but how the world perceives me is really out of my hands.

Nasty people will be their nastiest because they have no one to face in the end.

28. You are right, and that is kind of what I said
However, I would like to clarify one thing...DU is not all that anonymous. I personally know 5 DUers (married one of them) and they know OTHER DUers...

That said...I am pretty sure as "Thtwudbeme" I made a bunch of "ignore user" lists...as "Misinformed01" I don't post all that much.
