So I have a question for you.
Maybe this would be better in GD but I'm gonna toss it out here.

With 5 times the number of murders (per capita) than Canada (in 1999, the US also had 8,259 murders by firearms where canada had 165), 3x the charged drug offenses, more than double the rapes (and on and on and on), not to mention Canada's higher standard of living.....

What I'm getting at is....

A lot of people seem to consider Canada a liberal country. And I know quite a few Conservatives who require numbers or something like it before they'll listen.

Well, there are the numbers. I'm not saying Canada's the greatest country to ever exist, but it IS bordering what many see as the great Conservative country of our time.

I guess liberalism is bad for something other than crime, illicit drugs, poverty and standards of life. Any ideas?

2. Liberalism is bad for the rich
Liberal policies generally require strong government and expensive public government programmes. Strong government of this type is solidarity of the common people, giving them strength to resist the oppression of the rich. The rich generally want to atomise us (called "individualism") because as individuals we are weak and easy to manipulate. Strong liberal government is a defence against this.
