Does anyone else prefer to watch horror films alone? |
|

I ask this because I recently had a bad experience watching Friedkin's THE EXORCIST with friends: the sods laughed through half of it.
Listen, if I'm watching a serious horror film, then I'm as sober as a widow. I give myself to it, just as I do when I read Poe and Shirley Jackson. I don't yell "sweet!" when some girl buys it in SUSPIRIA, nor do I giggle nervously as the dinner table scene unfolds in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.
So unless the headliner is one Bruce Campbell, I'm watchin' horror flicks in solitude.
On edit: Forgot to put in a bloody article.

I freak out like a scared little girl whenever the scary scenes take place. And I don't like to get distracted from the horror experience by other people's lame-o reactions.

2. I would prefer to watch |

any movie alone. Then I can wince, scream, cry, or laugh without any one looking at me like I was :silly:

3. I don't like having innocents in my field of fire if I get spooked. |
