the car ride freaked her out a little I think but we both made it to my apartment ok. She's been wandering around giving the place the once over and now she's sitting in front of the glass door out to the porch all curled up in a ball. I don't think she knows quite what to think yet. :)

3. Well, I'm glad she hasn't ripped the place to shreds. |
|
I'm guessing she's used to being an indoor cat.

6. She'll be wiggy for a while. |
|
Once she figures out that nothing is there to kill her, she'll settle down.
Although...we had one cat that never quite stopped being wiggy.

to help me figure this all out.
She's definitely got abandonment issues from being left on her own...I was sittin with her on my best friend's porch and she had her claws seriously dug in...she was NOT moving.

on my lap right now. She was sitting by the window again and I called her over and she actually came and now she's trying to figure out where she fits best on my lap.

Some cats (one of mine, in fact) don't like to cuddle at all.

10. I think she'll be ok once a routine develops. |
|
Cats are flight animals, so until they feel settled, they're jumpy.

'cause she is under the bed now.
Should I just leave her under there til she's comfortable coming out?

13. What prompted it? Was there a loud noise? Did you move suddenly? |
|
Just leave her alone. She'll come out when she's ready.

She cleaned out a bowl of cat food then came and sat in my lap. She got down and went back to the bowl so I gave her a little more to eat. When she got done she wandered around for a little bit...then went and curled up under the bed.

17. Sweetie, you are wrong - you do not have a cat |
|
We do not own cats - they own us. She picked you out and said YOU will take me home, take care of me, feed & water me everyday, clean up litter box and hairballs.
She has a human - she owns you
Congratulations on finally being adopted by a cat!! It's the best feeling in the world - I was picked twice!!

23. She can purr where she wants to... |
|
I kinda have a different philosophy on having animals. My dog when I was younger was an outside dog. We never really trained her to do anything. She learned some neat tricks...but she taught them to herself. She just kinda did what she wanted.
I figure I'm gonna practice the same philosophy with the cat. I figure it's the path of least resistence since cats never do what you want them to anyway. :)
