I just bought the Hotel California album on DVD-Audio, my first Eagles CD.

Bloody hell, it's brilliant. Not only is DVD-Audio just amazing but it's introduced me to the wonder that is The Eagles.

Been hiding from me in plain sight all this time.

1. Actually, Desperado is a great record.

I'm not a huge fan of their later stuff, but I do like the Henley/Fry/Meisner/Leadon lineup. (If only my punk-rock friends could hear me now...)

3. Hotel California was the first vinyl I ever bought

I sold it a few years later at the used record store when the new wave and punk era began. My peers forced me to change my taste in music. Decades later, I again think well of Hotel California, especially Joe Walsh's long solo at the end of the song Hotel California.
