Camden - or, why I'll be off DU until Sunday afternoon |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-13-03 08:24 AM by goobergunch
Starting this year, my school requires all juniors to go on a weekend of "service" in Camden, NJ, starting today (Thursday) right after school and ending on Sunday midday. I am not happy about this. I'm not looking forward to having to spend a few days away from home against my will, and I'm really not thrilled about lengthy mandatory prayer sessions.
And of course, I'm not pleased about missing the conclusion of the 30 hours and the Louisiana gubernatorial race. My final prediction there is in white at the bottom of this post.
:(
So see you guys Sunday afternoon. :hi:
LOUISIANA PREDICTION: Jindal beats Blanco 55%-45%.

CAMDEN????? At least Philadelphia is just a ferry away.
Well, it sure does need a lot of help, and be sure to see the last mayor on visiting day at the prison.
Prayer sessions????
Camden needs more than prayers.
(And I doubt prayer will help anyone caught in Camden)
