By "hooked up" I mean date. Dating discussions are still allowed, aren't they?

I dated two republican girls in College my senior year. To be fair to them, they were alright. One ended up leaving me for an ex-boyfriend. The other, school ended - one of those things, so I had to let her go.

But all in all, I can't say they were that bad. To be honest with you, my experiences with conservative girls were better than some lefty girls.

To be honest. Dating girls who disagree with you is fun because you argue a lot. Maybe it's a Freudian thing. I don't know. Maybe fighting is good for other reasons....(reasons have hereby been censored to avoid a lock).

I suspect she's a republican because of her daddy, because if you ever pin her down on issues specifically, she comes across as fairly liberal. :shrug:

My current GF has a wingnut for a father and my ex-fiancee's father is a very well known wingnut columnist (his column was syndicated in a couple of hundred papers). They are both very liberal. The daughter of the columnist is a chomskyite. She used to regale me with stories of meeting Oliver North and how excited she was by it (when she was little and still thought her dad held sane political views)

Her parents were hard core Republicans. The type who think Bush is god and being opposed to the war meant you were a traitor.

When I was in college I used to date a kid who uncle was a big wig in Dem party in Boston. Since my family were died-in-the- heart GOP it was sort of funny. This kid and I used to fight and since I am a liberal guess who had the best line?

She really is totally apolitical with strong liberal tendencies. I think it had to do something with her fundie father.
