My hay fever has been kicking in for the past week or so, and the eyedrops I have are worthless. ("Ze goggles do nuzhing!")
Anyone have allergies and know a good choice of eyedrops to relieve the burning/dryness thing? I don't wear contacts, so that's not a factor.
Preferably nothing endorsed by Ben Stein...

By prescription, from the optometrist.
I'm thimerosol-sensitive, so most of the over-the-counter shit just makes things worse, rather than better.

eye drops make my eyes feel worse. I take Tavist. Not Tavist D. Just plain Tavist. Works for me!

Patanol
No burning when instilling them. And you can put your contacts in 10 minutes after you use the drops.

6. I've found the Bosch and Lomb (sp? wtf?!) to be EXCELLENT |
|
why can't they spell their company name properly?
Anyway -
I have awful allergies that sometimes make my eyes hurt like fucking bastards, and, while pretty much any eye drops help, the Bausch and Lomb (sp? wtf?!) allergy (non-prescription) drops work perfectly. Also, the vast majority of the time, the Walgreens brand allergy drops also work just fine. In fact, I've never met an allergy eye drop by any non-prescription brand that hasn't worked for me; but the Bosch and Lomb seem to work just a little bit better than the others.

Patinol costs like $60 for a 1/2 ounce... isn't that more than heroin? :wtf:
I'll look for the allergy drops -- didn't realize such a thing existed.

8. ask your eye doctor if they have any samples.. |
|
sometimes you can get them - a small sample, enough to get you through one allergy season.
I hope the other stuff works for you.

My daughter (before she starting getting allergy shots) had terrible allergies and this was the only thing that would help her eyes. It is a prescription med though. Feel better.

A reply from Sarahbelle! I'm honored... honestly!
Thanks for your contribution on this... I think I'll try the ones Rabrrrrrr recommends over the weekend, and if they don't cut it, on Monday I'll check with my eye doctor for a sample or an Rx of the Panatol.
Tell Finnfan I said "hey" and that I'm so happy for the both of you finding one another. :)
