Ok, time to get serious
Nothing dampens my sense of mirth liek watching the latest radar pictures of Rita, the latest damage to New Orleans, and well, the whole damn shebang.

Fuck.

I fear Lake Charles, Louisiana will bear the heaviest brunt of this one. :-(

:grouphug: for all in this mess.

1. Im afraid to get up tomorrow, because I know I'll check the news
immediately and follow it all day, and be sad and crying like DS1 during a thunderstorm warning.

2. I hear you, my dear ZombyWoof.....
We are helpless in the face of this monster storm......

And, most unfortunately, so are the folks who couldn't get out of the way....

And that just sucks, big time.....

:grouphug: for all of them, and for all of us who care about them...

3. I have relatives 30 miles north of Beaumont
I don't think very highly of them, but I suppose I don't want them to die. They're stubborn enough to stay put as though it was just a little squall. I actually hope they got the fuck out. But if their homes get destroyed, they are NOT coming to live with ME. Why ruin a good grudge match after 20 years? They voted for Bush, I've no fucking doubt, and they can go petition his highness for largesse at his pig farm in Crawford.

Damn, I don't sound bitter, do I? I'm not myself lately. All angry all the time. I need to lighten the fuck up. More jazz is in order.

4. indeed all are in my thoughts
it really makes one wonder. There just is no way to be secure, ya plan and take care, and things like this wipe it all away.
