(Note from our 7 year-old) : I want a bear! Plese Mom,
"I want a bear so I can ride him to skhool. He can help me colekt firewood for my dads campsiht. He can carry my heivie stuf. He can help me escape from school and put an ahlectic fense around it. He can help drive to winconsin.
Love Brett"

The boy has bears and wolves on the brain since we went camping this summer deep in the Northwoods. His sister can mimic loons perfectly, its creepy

9. My son was crazy for "Mr Bear", an adorable stuffed bear
he'd had since infancy...until he accidentally left it behind at a hotel in Yosemite back when he was 8.

He still doesn't like to talk about it... ;-)
and he's pushing 12!!

Is that cute, or what?!

11. that's sad....
I don't suppose the hotel's lost and found would still have it after all this time, unless they kept it around as a mascot. (Worth a phone call???)

My sincere sympathies to your son. I wouldn't want to talk about it either.

15. Oh, believe me, we did everything we could, short of going back
We called several times, over the span of many many weeks. They got sick of us!! Finally, we (he) had to face the fact that Mr. Bear was gone for good. *Sigh* :-(

Oh well, Life goes on....

10. *sniff* *sniff* "I w-w-w-want a p-p-p-puppy soooo much, mommy!"
My daughter, age 4, after watching 101 Dalmations.

She stood in the living room doorway sniffling... with tears in her eyes, and I asked, very concerned of course... "what's wrong honey?"

How do you RESIST such utter cuteness?

I certainly couldn't.

17. Brett whose parent has a Green Bay avatar wants a bear?
Wow, that's one of the best notes I ever read. I want pictures when you get one! Especially of the bear driving to Wisconsin.
