Favorite Altman Movie?
I'd start a poll, but there are just too damned many good ones.

What's your favorite Robert Altman flick?

4. Hands down, Nashville.
I see something new in it every time I watch it. And the soundtrack is pretty good too.

3. The Player. But I loved Gosford Park.
I'm a huge Brideshead Revisited fan, so I love the period. M*A*S*H was fun, but the pot-smoking scene ruined it for me (way too anachronistic).

I've never seen Nashville, but I'd love to.

"He's whatch might call the best equipped dentist in the United States Army!"
An absolute great movie. I watched very little of the TV show, because it could never approach the original.

17. "Nashville", "McCabe & Mrs Miller", "Secret Honor" are three of...
the best films ever made.
"The Player", "Streamers", "Vincent and Theo" are three of the worst films ever made

18. Nashville
I can even sing many of the songs. Not that you'd want me to. The actors wrote their own songs. Karen Black is hysterically funny. And Ronee Blakely as Loretta Lynn you have to see. Shelley DuVall. Jeff Goldblum. Keith Carradine. Lily Tomlin. Ned Beatty. Elliott Gould. Julie Christie. And a striptease by Gwen Welles. Whatever happened to her? She was in some very decent '70's movies.

Glenn Close and Julianne Moore were both brilliant in that film!
