Or is Castro just way too smart to overthrow? They did it with Chile, are trying it with Venezuela.....

I don't know enough about Cuba to even ask this question. But it sure is interesting....

5. Were there ever any nukes in Cuba?

The missiles were there but weren't the actual bombs turned back before they ever got there?

During the 1996 election campaign Florida's Cuban-American "exiles" claimed that Cuba's nuclear reactor was leaking. The Rest of the World knew it was nonsense because they're free to see the incomplete mothballed building with their own eyes. But travel banned Americans swallowed the lie hook line and sinker and it took a visit to Cuba by a bunch of US military brass to declare the obvious. Seven years later and most Americans are still none the wiser about their own neighbors. What a shame.

7. Castro Wanted No Part of Those Nukes
according to Krushev's son.

If America had attacked Cuba in the early 60's, the Soviets would have used medium-range nukes against Florida. Then every Cuban on the island would have been fried by the US.

I'm sure the Cubans have made sure that there have been no nukes there for years.

8. ...
Actually I heard that Castro was all for using the nukes if we invaded.

He wanted to use the tactical nukes on the invasion fleets and even on the beaches if need be.

But thats just what I heard on the discover, TLC, or maybe history channel.

FWIW I wouldnt be suprised if Castro still had alteast 1 nuke hanging around just incase. Everyone could use a little detterence.
