3. Here's some more lyrics:
(Tevye)
Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play?

(Golde)
I don't remember growing older
When did they?

(Tevye)
When did she get to be a beauty?

4. Chorus:
(Men)
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

(Women)
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

She still lives here while going to college, but she's almost never here.

12. I enjoy people that look right at me.
If I forget, Happy father's day.
And you look like you enjoy each others spirit.

Rock on.

26. We were trying to look imperious.
Guess we didn't pull it off!
Yes, we're great pals. We're too similar not to be.

7. By far the most depressing post I've ever seen
I'm dreading when my little one goes to middle school in a year and a half and suddenly finds that braiding the hair on her My Little Pony dolls or Star Wars action figures aren't as much fun as boys are (or whatever the hell it is that junior high school girls do, since I sure don't know).

Her turning 21 must be just awful for you!

Is she at least a good kid?

8. She loves me. So I think she's a good un.
It's not awful for me at all.
I'm glad and proud that we have both survived this long.

Mostly she's a good kid.

Only one month total jail time, so far.

11. One month total's really not that bad
At least not in the scheme of things. Better than me, at any rate (my poor mother!).

Good luck and God(s) bless.

Scheme away, but waiting three more years is tough (tuff).

10. I'm dissappointed that this is the most depressing post for you.
I wanted to celebrate my daughter's birthday,

How is this depressing for you?

13. Yet another reminder that my own little girl is growing up.
*sigh*

Maybe she was just cuter when she was five :). Or maybe I just want my kid to remain innocent forever. Sure, it's not an achievable goal, but I can dream, can't I?

And, for the record, what did me in was the pictures; that is one cute kid you've got there.

27. It's amazing, isn't it?
Mine will be 25 in December -- where did the time go? I can still remember when she was born, like it was yesterday. Can recite her birth stats to this day. She went through a rough patch in high school (that oh so trying time), but she came out of it, and she is a lovely young woman, both inside and out.

That's her on the right -- our "Mother-Daughter Protest Outing!"

30. Well, this 21 year old was drinking tonight.
September was pretty rough, and I normally don't drink very often, but this month has been trying mentally as well as physically. Actually, beside my birthday at the end of July, I don't think I had anything to drink in the last 6 months before September.

And about the age thing, I grew up in a pretty open household after my parents were divorced, and my mom thought teaching me about drinking when I turned 18 was the best course of action. Of course, the drinking age was 18 when she was that age, so that may have something to do with it.

Driving at 16, adulthood at 18, and drinking at 21 never made the least bit of sense to me anyhow. It seems like a recipe for disaster.

and if I was ever going to make it in Europe I realized I had to find someplace where people could actually spell Brazilian.
