I just watched the most amazing medical documentary on TLC

It was about a poor boy from Malaysia who had a gigantic tumor growing all over the inside of his face. It basically looked like he had an inflated baloon under both of his cheeks and in his chin. To look at him you would hardly know he was a human being.

He was treated, for free, by a team of surgeons and therapists from Taiwan and Japan. All I can say is, God bless those wonderful doctors. It's amazing that anyone, reguardless of the technology at their disposal, could solve such a horrifying medical problem. Add to that the fact that they did it all for free, and you have some truly wonderful people.

Kind of restores one's faith in mankind, for awhile anyway :)
