The "Ever So Ready DU Players" weekly play presents:
Brownie? I Didn't Say Brownie!

Once in a while I get a wild hair and think, "hey we could write a play here. So here's the deal, I'll start with some opening lines and you guys keep adding to the scene

Scott McClellan Ok, last question, you in the back.

reporter Did President Bush say anything about Bill Bennett's remarks?

Scottie As I have said the President condemns such speech, he has nothing but respect for his African American Brothers and Sisters.

Scottie exits the podium, walks behind a curtain and sees George Bush cowering behind the wall.

Scottie Did you hear Mr President?

George Eh, Eh, yup, they were out for blood Scottie. I can't believe I got away with the Brownie remark.

Scottie Ha ha, yeah Mr President that was a good one, calling him brownie while all those darkies were suffering. What did they expect you to do? Most of the coons don't even vote.

George You said a mouthful there Scottie, but they do cook some mean brisket. We should have one of those BBQ's Scottie, we could get some shrimps, some cole-slaw, Mama loves the cole-slaw. Can't get no corn on the cob though, Daddy's teeth can't handle that.

Ok, take it away DU. The Bushes plan a post-Katrina BBQ. Will there be booze? Only the twins can answer that.
