4. Yeah
Johan Santana pitched very well for 7 innings today. I guess that can serve as consolation, that and knowing he will be back to pitch for us next year.

I think it is going to be a four way thing in the central next year. Sorry Royals fans, you will still be fifth in a four way race.

7. Well we lost all of our starting infield starting late last season
I think the loss of Corey Koskie was pretty much the death knell. That Canadian former hockey player could flat out produce, offensively speaking. It was really not that big a loss when Cristian Guzman was sent to DC, because he just never really lived up to his potential.

I was sad to see Mientkiewicz go to Boston last season, and while Justin Morneau is not Dougie Defense, he did do better offensively speaking. Luis Rivas was sent down to AAA mid-season, another player that has never lived up to his potential.

The Twins need to solidify the infield and get a power hitter for next year. The Twins have probably one of the top 5 pitching staffs in the league, but seriously lacked run support this year.
