Since when do the monthly emergency warnings last

15 freakin' minutes? Was watching the teevee and the monthly emergency warning starts. And it goes on and on and on for over 15 minutes. No emergency, just the mandatory monthly test warning. It was on almost every station.

The really ironic thing was, I was watching "Megaquake" on Discovery Channel, and the focus was on the northwest coastline from northwest Oregon to Vancouver B.C. They totally silenced out the last segment of the show, where they were (I believe, from my fabulous lip reading skills) talking about what to do if/when this happens, and how it will affect the coast line, and the inland big cities like Portland, Vancouver, WA, Seattle, and Vancouver, BC. :wtf:

Hmm, guess I really didn't need to know any of that, huh? Especially because I live in Seattle, and my inlaws live a few blocks from the coast on a peninsula in southwest Washington.
