1. Supposed to get into the mid 80s here today
Very unusual for this time of year.

Can't pick apples yet, as the variety I like to pick is too tart (needs cool weather to set the sugars).

2. It must be nice to be in an area suitable for apples.
It's much too warm here. I haven't been outside yet but I'm sure it will be another scorcher here.

3. It is nice
But we have extremes on both ends of the scale. Hot and humid as hell in the summer, and sub-zero in the winter.

My perfect climate would be 70 degrees year round except Yule, which would be 25 and snowy.

4. We seldom see the 25 and snowy. I think it may be sweltering...
this year at Christmas. Damn that El Nino and global warming!

23. Got some REALLY good apples over the weekend
From Rochester, MN. I forget the variety, but they came right off the orchard. A little tart, a little sweet, but very good!

We're only supposed to get up to 67, up here. Amazing what a difference being a couple hours north can make.:o

Yeah, it's still 83 freaking degrees here, with a dewpoint in the 70s. :wtf: Feels more like early August than early October. meh.

38. I noticed that this morning on the news.
83 for Minneapolis and 57 for Boise! Both unusual temperatures.

We moved here five years ago and still haven't had a white Christmas.

Not me, I like the warm weather, well, and for that matter, the cool weather too. Sorry to hear about your Bills. They gave a valiant effort. I know I’ll be weeping tonight watching the Packers.

34. Packers will win!
No need to cry Goldie...I predict the Packers win 30-27...the Panthers are good...but the Packers are going to be desperate! And with an offense lead by Brett Favre...how can they loose? (Don't answer that)

43. Thanks for the vote
of confidence, but alas, the 'ol boys just couldn't pull it off, although they certainly got fired up at the end - finally. Hmmm, your score prediction was close, it ended at 32-29, of course not in our favor. And if the offense wasn't lacking before, I fear we are left with none now.

Wednesday we are expecting a cold front that will drop us into the low 60's for highs and mid 40's for a low. So Fall is finally getting here.

IN WISCONSIN IN OCTOBER!
And it's humid and muggy. Apparently, we're the new California.
I like the heat, (I hate winter), but it isn't right and it's messin' with my head.

35. It can't seem to make up its mind if it wants to be hot or
just cool enough that I have to wear a sweater in the mornings. I sweat all night then freeze my nips off in the mornings. I am thinking about freezing the nips tonight and warming them up with the heater in the car in the morning as a refreshing change.
