Anyone catch this Star Trek TNG 2-parter?

Some of the ideas are utterly stupid (why can't the Romulans go AROUND Picard's tachyon web instead of wasting time trying to find a way to go through it when they can travel in any direction at warp speed?! Why does Data now have and use emotion and not put the bigot who kept disobeying him in the brig? Why does Picard readily take Worf back at the end of the story, when everything is peachy-keen again? (was he bluffing about saying the Klingon civil war was incompatible with the Federation and thus allowed Worf to go so easily so he in turn could intervene?)), the politics behind it is spot-on. It's reminiscnent of "A Private Little War", only more encompassing. But there were ideas which paralleled repukes and Dems of today. Even phrases and words which seemed to chime in (envision the Duras sisters as Republicans and the Romulans as Corporate America and BLAMMO, you've got it...) Oh, the temporal paradox concerning Sela and her origins was a stroke of brilliance, though upon thought it seems strange how a person from an alternate timeline (NOT parallel universe) could exist in this manner...
