Democray Now: Anybody know the 'union' song Paul Robeson sang |
that was aired on Democracy NOw yesterday" It was very moving and I would like to get a copy of it. Maybe it was John Hill or something like that name. It was the most beautiful and touching song i have ever heard.

1. I thought it was "Old Man River " with new words |
that he wrote, and which were considered controversial.

2. No, this song title was the name of a person. |
I'm going to contact Democracy Now and try to get the name and order the tape if I have to get it. The Dems should play this song at their convention, especially in honor of all their union supporters. I bet most union people have never heard it. it make you want to cry but make you feel proud to be part of a union.

3. Could it be "Joe Hill"? |
I'm pretty sure he sang it. It was also sung by Joan Baez.

That's it! What do you think about the Dems playing that at their convention? Or Kucinich using it for his theme song?
