Are you familiar with the L.A. band "Rooney"
Just heard a few of their songs tonight. How bizarre, they're like Beatles meets ELO meets punk meets pop. I don't know, but I like what I heard.

2. I like them....
....but you forgot to compare them to the Beach Boys. Very surfer-sounding at times.

It was decided during the Nixon Ad.

4. They're fantastic!
I'd compare them to a cross between the Beach Boys and Weezer. they were lodged in my CD player all summer!

6. Yeah, there's one song they've been playing on WOXY.
I can't remember the name of it, right now -- but I liked it well enough to look up the band on the Internet. They're right down my alley -- guitar pop/power pop with those great Beach Boys/Badfinger backing vocals. I also like Sloan, there are certain similarities.

Bleu is another one along that same line I've started hearing lately, I think the song's called "Get Back Up."
