never had a zoloft. Had a Lorazipam recently - veddy veddy nice.
I've been on Celexa for a year now, and I think it's no longer very effective. I need to see the doc and find out what else I might try. but NOT Paxil... ugh.

St. John's Wort for awhile. Really didn't do anything.
I really was fine most of my life (had one bad depressive episode in my early 20's) but then, at 40, my life sorta fell apart and the depression just doesn't go away. Celexa worked for awhile, but not anymore. Maybe it's just a dosage question.
I also just re-started Wellbutrin (hoping to quit smoking in a few weeks) so that may jump-start me.

14. celexa made me really queasy.. |
|
hated it, although it did have a very mild effect on my hyper-sensitivity, it was not enough to warrant taking it long-term.
i'm sending off a questionaire to a homeopath next week to try the natural route. I really have tried quite a few drugs and they all mess me up more than they help. It can be very, very difficult to stop taking some of them without serious side effects.
and paxil is horrible, agreed. ever notice that wellbutrin tabs look like they have little smiley faces on them?

no thanks.
Had too many years experience with the hard stuff. All of it.
Now I do nothing harder than an occasional xanax.

I'm wondering why you also feel so negatively about Paxil.
I was prescribe Paxil for anxiety problems. It ruined nearly an entire year of my life by killing my motivation. I've heard about this side effect from others now, and yet, it was not one of the side effects I'd heard about from any offical medical sources.

13. That Time of The Night |
|
When streetlights throw crosses through window frames Paranoia roams where the shadows reign Your senses tangled in some new perfume Criticism triggers of a loaded room
So if you ask me How do I feel inside I could honestly tell you We’ve been taken on a very long ride And if my owners let me Have some free time some day With all good intention I would probably run away Clutching the short straw
At that time of the night When questions rally in an open mind Summon all your answers with an ice cube chime At that time of the night Pretend you’re off the hook with the telephone Your confidence wounded in a free fire zone
So if you ask me Where do I go from here My next destination Even isn’t really that clear So if you join me And get on your knees and prey I’ll show you salvation We’ll take the alternative way Clutching the short straw
If I had enough money I’d buy a round for that boy over-there A companion in my madness in the mirror The one with the silvery hair And if some kind soul Could please pick up my tab And while they’re at it If they could pick up my broken heart

15. My latest fix is Zicam |
|
It's this homeopathic medicine (zinc based) for cold symptoms. I bought the pills first, but since it had restrictions on eating and drinking after taking it, I opted for the nasal gel the next time.
Anyway, either one certainly zapped my cold symptoms, and I feel GOOD. The box says it's not habit forming, but damn, when I get a snort of this, I feel invincible, like kicking @$$. And this is legal stuff, who needs the illegal?
OTOH, maybe I was seriously lacking zinc in my diet....LOL

16. Meditation, it has calmed my mind, I lost 35 pounds and didn't notice |
|
till my clothes didn't fit. Fellow workers noticed i was suddenly calm, more helpful. supervisor told me my work had improved to excellent and that i was the best employee she ever had in 22 years., actually I was doing electronics for aircraft, i started doing 2.4x more than anyone else and had No errors in 8 months. my life changed from a world of problems to a world with solutions. I quit drinking after 30 years of serious alcoholism. my wife is addicted to Prozac an has no sex drive...we quit worrying about that 4 years ago, it was just to difficult for her. I have accepted it isn't going to happen again. Meditation keeps one in the moment... I am happier than i have ever been.
