Tigh vs Riker - who would win?

1. If it's hotness and it's Cmdr W. T. Riker, then it's Riker for me

2. Tigh seems like he's seen a whole lot of action in his life

He makes cold decisions with hardly a second thought. He can be totally brutal when he needs to be, which is one of the reasons Adama keeps him on despite his personal problems.

I don't think Ryker has those instincts. He is the product of a more cushy and less scrappy Federation. I gotta give this one to Tigh.

I did see that episode you mention. It was great. I also loved Ryker in "The Best of Both Worlds" when he made the ultimate butt-kickin' choice and did it without hesitation.

But Ryker, I think, lacks just a little bit of the self-destructive instinct that Tigh clearly demonstrates on a regular basis. Not to mention that Ryker has a hot girlfriend/wife to go home to. (Not to say that Tigh doesn't, but let's face it, Mrs. Tigh is no Troi.) Ryker actually has many reasons to live and to care about his own safety. I don't think Tigh has as many, and that makes Tigh all the more dangerous.
