Was it a good week or bad week for Bush and co.? |

I think on the whole it was bad. The war is going horribly wrong, with Italians getting hit, Americans hitting a textile factory, and Bremer running back and forth tyring to get his marching orders straight. Jessica Lynch is making a mockery of the propaganda campaign they built around her. The stock market had a blah few days. Some corporate corruption stories surfaced. Roy Moore got kicked off the court and has threatened to threaten the GOP status quo in Alabama and nationally. The all-nighter in the Senate resulted in nothing for Bush and his nominees. And to top it all off, both polls I saw this week had Bush below 50% approval.
That's a sucky week.
PS: But any week he's even in power is a good week for him because by all rights he should not be there.

Bremer got the word that we're getting out...damage control until we can install a puppet with enough clout to keep things stable through election '04.
Jessica Lynch exposing him (once again) as a liar.

2. Next week will probably be a bad one too. |

The war is certainly not going to be straightened out. And Bush is going to the UK, where he is even more despised than he is here.

3. No, I'm afraid it's downhill from here |

Iraq could be chaos in 6 months. Call me a pessimist but all indications are we've seen the tip of the iceberg in regards to casualties.
