1. Actually, I think he's probably right.

Sad to say it, but his assessment isn't far off. At least 50% don't care at all, the remaining 50% are probably divided just about how he says they are. The only thing I would quibble with are his terms: Mall people, crazy left, crazy right, etc. I think a lot of folks are too busy worrying about how they're going to "put food on their family" (sic) than think about politics.

Franken's book has a photocopy of his 1994 voter registration. One of the options was Independent. He didn't check that box. He checked the box next to 'Republican'. He says independent wasn't an option. His voter registration proves him to be a liar. He signed it.
