Today's spoken language pet peeve: "Verse" rather than "Versus". |

I hear kids say it a lot (seeing as how I'm a teacher), but I've heard many adults say it as well. Where the hell did they get the idea that it is acceptable to say "verse" instead of "versus"?

"Wif" for "with" or "f" for "th" in general. I know, it's prevalent in some people's speech, but it grates my nerves. It was "free" in preschool, people, it's "three" now!
