Is it wrong for a non-handicapped person to use a handicapped accessible.. |
|
toilet stall?
I don't believe there's any law against it (like there is for parking in space reserved for handicapped drivers).

2. I ususally wind up in the handicapped stall because |

it's the one with TP left in it.
I've never made a HC person wait.

but if there is a line and there is a handicapped person in that line, you should defer to them.
Most of the time, there is no rule about it.
Some of us, though, find the toilet seat in the handicapped stall a LOT higher and harder to use.

If there are 4 stalls, and one of them is an accessible stall, and there are 6 people in line, it makes no sense to keep one perfectly usable stall unoccupied. If a person who needs an accessible stall comes into the restroom, I think courtesy dictates he or she should be allowed to jump ahead in line and use the stall when it opens. But it doesn't need to be kept open just in case.

Maybe it's just a sign that you need to let your inner Larry out once in a while to prevent a nervous breakdown. Let the bald swami be your guide. Or something. :hi:

20. If there is no one around that needs it I have used it. |

I have a child that I have to drag in w/ me and some of the other stalls just don't have enough room for two people to stand in.
