I think we all prefer coffee as our wake-up call, NOT some sneaky snake. x(

I was awake and posting on DU from 2:30 to 6:30 this morning :)
When I found the snake it was after getting 4 more hours of sleep ... the surprising thing is I was still 1/2 asleep when I spotted it - even without my glasses on!

9. I have to step in and defend snakes. They get a bad rap. |
|
On the other hand, I wouldn't want to meet up with one first thing in the morning either. LOL.
I just had to say something funny. I'm still laughing over the Orange Ooten comment by a local news anchor. He actually said that. He was talking about a pet show in the Philipines and said they had dogs, cats, birds, and orange ootens. I could not find his email address. I wanted to send him an ecard with an orangutan on it saying hello from an orange ooten.

How did you remove it? Besides carefully, I don't doubt!
But more importantly: How in HELL did it get in? :scared:
You are so very brave to be handling a snake.....I'd be screaming or something stupid like that.....
I've seen them outside, in the wilderness, and that doesn't bother me...
But INSIDE? omigod.....
You go, girl...... :applause:

10. My house mate had the same reaction (when she called home at 5PM) |

It's a damn good thing that I didn't need assistance treating a snake bite or anything like that!
I did move the snake very gently back outside. They actually have a very delicate skeletal system and are easily injured.
We have been doing remodeling on this 60 year old house for the past few years and it seems like we still need to plug a few holes.
