15. It's the way Macs code apostrophes.

I've run into this on mailing lists when people quote non plain-text messages from Mac users -- they use a piece of code on the Mac that makes an apostrophe, but on a Windows OS it makes a character that comes out of the ASCII symbol library -- in this case, a Portuguese character. Odd, but I have seen it before.
