There are black evangelicals too. The Pentecostal church is one of the fastest growing Protestant churches in the world. When it was founded over 100 years ago it was associated w/ mostly white, lower middle to poor Americans. Now the fastest growing segments of the church are in Africa and Central America(per my uncle, who is a Pentecostal preacher. I also read it somewhere about 2 years ago). I have a cousin who is a missionary for the Assemblies of God. He has been sent to Africa and Southeast Asia for most of his missions. He says that one of the fastest growing areas for them is Southeast Asia and that membership has skyrocketed there in the past 20 years. Membership in evangelical churches has grown faster than membership in mainline Protestant churches over the past 30 years or so. They spread their missions further out than they used to and attract w/ the energy and music that is offered at their services.
(btw-NOT an evangelical. I don't care for it, even though I was raised w/ some of it. I don't care for the teachings and the underhanded ways that some use to obtain money. But I do keep up on what is happening.)

The evangelicals won't really like him after this recent SCOTUS pick either.
